“Through counseling and self-reflection, I’ve witnessed incredible transformations in my clients. The cornerstone of successful counseling, in my view, is the relationship we build together—a safe, confidential space where we can address core issues and traumas.”
As a mother of three, Lauren also specializes in maternal mental health and relationship counseling, bringing a compassionate touch to her practice.
Kayla Bull
Kayla qualified as a Registered Counsellor in 2015; with several years of experience in the NGO sector, she transitioned into private practice.
Believing firmly in the innate leadership and potential for growth within each client, Kayla fosters a compassionate, non-judgmental, and confidential environment where they can freely explore their fears, worries, and aspirations. She views her role as a facilitator of their journey, recognizing that, ultimately, clients are the architects of their own stories.
Kayla is particularly interested in palliative care (those affected by serious illnesses), supporting individuals and families by addressing their psychological and spiritual concerns. Her approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration, and she remains dedicated to empowering her clients to embrace their strengths and resilience, embodying the belief that they are the catalysts for transformative change in their lives.
Kayla integrates mindfulness techniques into her therapeutic approach, utilizing them as powerful tools to enhance self-awareness, promote emotional regulation, and cultivate resilience. By incorporating mindfulness practices into her sessions, she empowers her clients to develop a deeper connection with themselves and their experiences, facilitating personal growth and transformation.
Rafiequa Saban
Rafiequa Saban is a Registered Counsellor (HPCSA). She has worked in addiction care and private practice, supporting adults in both individual and group therapy settings.
Her work is grounded in a practical, skills-based approach alongside thoughtful exploration and reflection. Rafiequa focuses on helping clients build self-awareness, manage intense emotions, cope during times of distress, and develop healthier ways of relating to others, while ensuring they feel supported throughout the therapeutic process.
She has a strong interest in group work and values the shared learning and connection that can develop within a group setting. Rafiequa places emphasis on skills that can be practised between sessions, helping clients feel more supported and capable in their everyday lives.
Her approach is integrative and client-centred, with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship. She works collaboratively with clients, offering both structure and support as they work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Dharma Bredell
Dharma is a HPCSA Registered Counsellor, with a particular focus on grief, trauma, anxiety, and adjustment, as well as supporting individuals living with chronic or terminal illness and disability. Her background includes working within NGOs in the areas of chronic and terminal illness support, gender-based violence interventions, and community-based mental health care.
She offers a compassionate and steady presence to those navigating some of life’s most complex and often isolating experiences. Dharma understands that grief is not limited to loss through death, but can also emerge through changes in health, identity, independence, and relationships, as well as grieving the life one had imagined. Her work gently holds space for these layered experiences, allowing clients to process at their own pace.
With a deeply empathetic and client-centred approach, Dharma creates a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. She works collaboratively with individuals to make sense of their experiences, build emotional resilience, and find meaning within their journey, however uncertain or overwhelming it may feel.
“Grief, trauma, and illness can change the way we understand ourselves and our lives. In our work together, my intention is to offer a space where you don’t have to carry that alone; where you feel understood in a world in which that can feel rare; where your experience is honoured; and where healing can unfold in its own time, at your pace.”
Dharma is deeply committed to walking alongside her clients through vulnerability and transition, supporting them in reconnecting with their strength, dignity, and sense of self.
